'Hoot' album released today in Korea by "Girls Generation's"


K-pop group Girls Generation is released their newest album “Hoot” today with her nine members, marking their comeback to the Korean music scenes.
“Hoot” is Girls Generation’s third part of mini-album after “Gee” and “Genie,” both of which were released in 2009.
The album contains Hoot five songs: “Hoot,” “Wake Up,” “My Best Friend,” “Mistake” and “Snowy Wish.”
The single “Hoot” has attained success as it dominated online music diagrams in Korea when it was released last October 18.
Furthermore, the “Hoot” album has attained a dazzling 150,490 in pre-orders composed of 51,000 online orders and 99,490 offline.
Girls Generation planed inspiration from retro fashion for the album concept. The members are portraying themselves as Bond girls in the album photos.
In addition, Girls Generation are also scored another success in Japan when their second Japanese single “Gee,” released last October 20, zoomed to No. 1 on Japan’s Oricon daily graph last October 25. The single has sold 66,000 on its first week alone.
This feat has made Girls Generation the first Korean girl group to achieve the highest ranking on the chart.
Girls Generation will start promoting the new album on October 29 on KBS “Music Bank.”
